November giving- Microwave fudge

I stink at candy making, but microwave fudge is incredibly easy to make.  So even if you don't have the time, patience or equipment for making fudge, you can still make a batch to gift. This recipe is also relatively cheap.  You can add nuts or crushed peppermint candies for variety; another option is to lightly frost the fudge for a bit of color.

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 14 oz. can condensed milk
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bourbon
a dash of salt

Line a 8" square pan with parchment paper.  In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter, condensed milk and chocolate chips (I recommend 30 second intervals at half power to avoid scorching). Stir in vanilla and salt then pour into the parchment lined pan.  Allow to cool before removing and cutting.
